
GW Women's Squash Releases 2015-16 Schedule

WASHINGTON â€" The George Washington women's squash team will play five home games as part of its 18-match regular season, head coach Wendy Lawrence has announced.
GW finished last season in a tie as the seventh-ranked team in the nation after making its first-ever appearance in the Howe Cup (A-Division) at the College Squash Association (CSA) National Championships.
The Colonials' 2015-16 slate features six teams that ended the 2014-15 season in the top-10 of the final CSA National Poll, including home matches with No. 4 Penn (Nov. 21), No. 3 Princeton (Nov. 22) and No. 2 Trinity (Feb. 13) at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center.
Additional home dates for the Colonials include the regular-season opener against Georgetown on Oct. 23 and Jan. 22 against Colby.
GW will also face top-10 opponents in No. 7 Columbia (Jan. 24 in New York, New York), No. 5 Yale (Jan. 29 in New Haven, Connecticut) and No. 6 Cornell (Jan. 31 in New Haven, Connecticut).
After taking on Georgetown in the season opener, GW will head out on the road for a doubleheader on November 8 against Virginia and Dickinson. Additional opponents in 2015-16 include Hobart, Denison, Dartmouth, Williams, Bates, Mt. Holyoke, Brown and Drexel.
The CSA Team Nationals will be played at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, February 26-28.
