
No. 17 GW Men's Squash Beats Middlebury, 6-3

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 17 George Washington men's squash team completed the road portion of its schedule by downing No. 19 Middlebury, 6-3, on Sunday at the Brady Squash Courts on the campus of Yale University.
GW (8-4) won the top six matches on the ladder.
Freshman Mason Ripka swept Andrew Jung at No. 1, 11-6, 11-3, 11-8 while freshman Oisin Logan picked up his team-leading 11th win of the season with a 7-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-6 win at No. 2 over Andrew Cadienhead.
Sophomore Nicolas Valderrama survived a five-set thriller over Wyatt French at No. 3, prevailing 11-8, 11-5, 10-12, 5-11, 11-7.
The junior duo of James Reiss and Reid Breck each contributed four-set wins at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. Reiss defeated Harrison Croll, 11-5, 8-11, 11-2, 11-7, while Breck won 9-11, 11-4, 11-8, 11-3 over Wiliam Kurth.
Freshman Billy Berner rounded out GW's wins with a 10-12, 10-12, 11-6, 11-7, 11-5 win over David Cronwell at No. 6.
GW will play its final five matches at home at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center, beginning on Sunday against No. 6 Yale at 10:00 a.m.
