
GW Squash's Dewey Named CSA Player of the Week

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - George Washington women's squash freshman Lindsey Dewey has been named the Harrow Sports College Squash Association (CSA) Player of the Week for the week ending January 11.
Dewey went 2-1 during No. 8 GW's trip to Northern California where the Colonials registered wins over No. 15 Bates and No. 7 Stanford.
The New Canaan, Conn., native was instrumental in GW's upset of No. 7 Stanford, rallying from a one-set deficit to defeat Julia Olson, 8-11, 11-4, 12-10, 11-5, and provide the deciding win in GW's 5-4 upset victory.
Dewey also contributed a 3-0 victory in GW's 8-1 win over Bates earlier in the week, defeating Blair Weintraub, 11-2, 11-6, 11-1.
Dewey has played to a 3-3 record this season with appearances at both the Nos. 7 and 8 positions on the ladder.
GW returns to action on Saturday when its hosts No. 12 Williams at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center at 11:00 a.m.
