Senior Andri Alexandersson scored the golden goal in the 107th minute to lift the Colonials to a 2-1 upset victory over No. 22 Navy on Tuesday evening, their first win over a ranked opponent since October 1997. Alexandersson's free kick hit off the underside of the crossbar and bounced down into the goal with 3:43 left in the second overtime period to give the Colonials the win with his first goal of the season. Then in a similar play on Saturday against Saint Francis, which was ranked sixth in the Northeast Region, the senior co-captain's free kick again hit off the crossbar, but this time it bounced back into the field, where sophomore Tobi Adewole finished it with a header for the equalizer in the 16th minute. Alexandersson, who was credited with the assist on the goal, finished the week with three points (1g, 1a) to lead GW.
