Women's Squash Splits Second Day of Trinity Round Robin

HARTFORD, Conn.- The No. 14 George Washington swomen' squash team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday but rebounded to sweep Bowdoin at the Trinity Round Robin.
GW (5-1) opened the day against No. 3 Trinity but fell, 9-0. Senior Caroline Shumway was the only Colonial to not fall in straight sets, stealing the second set against Whitney Hartmeyer before conceding the match, 11-4, 9-11, 11-9, 11-6.
The Colonials quickly rebounded against No. 20 Bowdoin, prevailing 8-1. Sophomore Jackie Shea set the tone at the top of the ladder with a 11-5, 11-9, 11-8 sweep of Torey Lee and four other Colonials followed suit with straight-set victories.
GW returns to action on Saturday with a visit to New Jersey to face Ivy League foe Princeton.
