No. 14 Women's Squash Sweeps Haverford

WASHINGTON - The No. 14-ranked George Washington women's squash team returned to action with a triumphant 9-0 sweep of Haverford College Sunday afternoon at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts.
Sophomore Jackie Shea led the Colonials at the top of ladder with a dominant 11-2, 11-0, 11-0 win over Caroline Nightingale. Sophomores Kelly Barnes and Elizabeth Tapley completed the sweep in the top third of the ladder with 3-0 sweeps.
Senior Lauren Mathieu allowed just four points in her 11-0, 11-1, 11-3 win at the No. 4 position and senior Tiffany Hingley followed by allowing just two points in an 11-0, 11-1, 11-1 win at the No. 5 position.
Also recording victories on Sunday were Maya Nair, Adriana Calderon, Becca Imrich and Charlie Merison.
The Colonials return to action with a trio of matches during the weekend of Dec. 2. They will face No 24 Connecticut College on Friday, and No. 4 Trinity and No. 20 Bowdoin on Saturday. All matches will be in Hartford, Conn.
