Men's Water Polo Drops Three

WASHINGTON, DC (Oct. 8) - Men's water polo was swept this weekend as the Colonials faced three opponents in three locations over the course of two days.
GW (3-10) faced Johns Hopkins on Friday, Oct. 5 in Baltimore, MD in an evening match. After falling behind 7-1 by half, the Colonials made a second half surge, outscoring the Blue Jays 8-4 behind three goals by senior Kevin Norman. However, GW was unable to overcome the early lead, falling 11-9.
The Colonials traveled back to Maryland the following morning to face Air Force at Navy in Annapolis, MD at 1:00 p.m. GW played the Falcons to a 4-4 tie at the break, but were outscored 6-1 in the second half for a 10-5 loss.
GW headed south following the match to host Navy at Smith Center in a 7:00 p.m. match. The Midshipmen pulled away 6-3 at the break, and extended their lead to 11-6 in the final two periods to hand the Colonials their 10th loss this season.
