Kevin Burke came to GW in August 2018 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications. In his role, he serves as the sports information contact for the men's basketball, rowing and golf programs and serves on the Athletic Department's Senior Staff team. During his time at GW, he has placed earned media in a multitude of national and regional media entities, including ESPN, USA Today, Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, ABC, CBS and NBC. He also has been responsible for the exponential growth in following and engagement in GW's social media presence.

Burke joined GW as the Assistant Director of Communications in 2018 and was the contact for women's basketball, volleyball, baseball and track & field and cross country for three years prior to being elevated to Director of Athletic Communications in 2021 and adding the Assistant Athletic Director title in 2022.

Burke came to GW from High Point University in 2018 where he was the Athletic Communications Assistant for men's soccer, women's soccer and baseball teams in addition to providing play-by-play broadcasts for men's basketball.

A 2012 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Communication, Burke accumulated eight years of broadcasting and media relations experience in Minor League Baseball before transitioning to college athletics. He earned a Master's of Sport Management from GW in 2022.
