Brendan O'Leary is in his third year at GW. He will work primarily with men's basketball.
O'Leary comes to GW from Mount St. Mary's where he served as head strength and conditioning coach.
Prior to The Mount, O'Leary spent time at North Carolina State, where he served as a Professional Intern in 2014-15. While at N.C. State, O'Leary assisted primarily with the men's basketball, men's and women's swimming, baseball, wrestling and women's soccer teams.
From 2012-14, O'Leary was the strength and conditioning graduate intern at the University of Texas at Austin. At Texas, he designed and implemented sport specific programs, helping mainly with the women's swimming, women's rowing, football, track and field and men's tennis teams. He also oversaw the Olympic sport teams when the strength coach was traveling.
O'Leary is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and is a Level I Sport Peformance Coach by USA Weightlifiting (USAW).
O'Leary graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and earned a Master's degree of Sports Science and Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin.
