The Athletics Communications Department acts as a liaison between the Department of Athletics and the media inside and outside the University community. But that is just one of many responsibilities handled by Athletics Communications.
In addition to this website, Athletics Communications publishes several forms of athletics-related communicative materials including online virtual guides, game programs, preseason and postseason guides, a basketball yearbook and keeps all statistical and historical records for GW's 20 varsity sports.
The office produces and maintains the official site for George Washington athletics at www.GWsports.com. Media and fans can keep abreast of GW Athletics via the website, which provides schedules, results, statistics, live game statistics and player and coach bios for each sport. Information regarding the athletic department, facilities and administrators is also available. Athletics Communications also is responsible for promoting student-athletes, coaches and teams for both athletic and academic honors.
Live Stats:
A live statistical account of every home baseball, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball contest is available online at GWsports.com. Additional home and away events may also be available. Check GWsports.com for an updated schedule.
