Volleyball Drops Final Match of the Summit Hospitality Tournament

The Revolutionaries competed in their final match in Raleigh to conclude the Summit Hospitality Tournament. Despite yesterday's straight-set win over Charlotte, GW fell to Wofford in the Sunday matinee matchup (18-25, 15-25, 16-25).

The Buff and Blue clashed hard at the net and counted 104 attacks and 33 kills but sacrificed 20 errors in the loss against the Terriers. On the defensive side, GW had 49 digs, only one less than their opponents, but was unable to correct the offense.

Riley Samuel recorded yet another 10-kill match to conclude the weekend, this time with a successful .500 hitting percentage. Yazmyn Billings followed closely behind with 9 kills, 22 attacks, and 3.0 blocks.

GW Volleyball will head to Baltimore next weekend for their final tournament of the preseason. In the three-day slate, the Buff and Blue will compete against Loyola Maryland, University of Maryland Baltimore, and Morgan State.
