WASHINGTON – Headlined by four weekend home games, the Atlantic 10 announced the conference schedule for the George Washington women's basketball team on Friday afternoon. GW will also host five mid-week contests inside the Charles E. Smith Center during its 50th anniversary season.
GW will once again host an early-December A-10 matchup for the second consecutive year as the league makes it standard for all members this season. Dec. 3 will serve as the opening date for conference action, with all 14 teams in action. The Revolutionaries will host Dayton, welcoming the Flyers to the Nation's Capital during the heart of GW's non-conference schedule, which was announced in July.
Following the conclusion of non-conference action, GW picks up with the traditional A-10 calendar on New Year's Eve, making the trip to Olean, N.Y., to battle St. Bonaventure. GW's other road conference matchups include La Salle (Saturday, Jan. 3), Duquesne (Wednesday, Jan. 14), VCU (Wednesday, Jan. 21), Dayton (Sunday, Feb. 1), Davidson (Saturday, Feb. 7), Saint Joseph's (Wednesday, Feb. 11), George Mason (Saturday, Feb. 21) and Rhode Island (Saturday, Feb. 28).
After ringing in the New Year, GW returns to the Smith Center on Wednesday, Jan. 7, hosting Rhode Island for a mid-week clash. The Buff & Blue will also welcome George Mason (Sunday, Jan. 11), Loyola Chicago (Saturday, Jan. 17), Fordham (Sunday, Jan. 25), Saint Louis (Wednesday, Jan. 28), La Salle (Saturday, Feb. 14), Richmond (Wednesday, Feb. 18) and St. Bonaventure (Wednesday, Feb. 25).
Following the regular season, the Henrico Sports & Events Center will host the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship for the third consecutive season. The five-day event will begin on March 4, with the week building to the championship game on March 8.
Prior to the start of the regular season, the A-10 will kick off its 50th anniversary celebrations at Atlantic 10 Media Day on Tuesday, September 30th. The event will be held at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa., with live coverage of the event carried on ESPN+. All 30 men's and women's coaches will make appearances on the live broadcasts, with Ganiyat Adeduntan and men's head coach Chris Caputo slated to speak at 4:45 p.m.
Announced earlier this week, GW will honor the jersey numbers of 10 former student-athletes, including those of two former women's basketball stars. Taj Abraham and Jonquel Jones will each have their respective jersey numbers honored this season, with dates for each ceremony still to be determined.
Tip-off times and television designations for all Atlantic 10 contests will be announced in the coming weeks. Follow GWsports.com for the latest information. The full 2025-26 schedule can be found here.
