Volleyball Halted by Davidson

Despite fighting back to win the third set against the Davidson Wildcats after falling behind 0-2, GW volleyball dropped to the hosts on Saturday evening in Davidson, N.C.
HOW IT HAPPENED
· The hosts used their momentum from Friday evening to dominate the opening two sets, 25-11, 25-16. HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Revolutionaries fought Davidson through 11 ties and three lead fluctuations and out-hit the 'Cats, 16-13, to earn the third set, 25-22, and force another stanza. Davidson took the fourth, 25-16.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
· Taylor Treahy led GW statistically with 14 kills, seven digs and chipped in on three blocks to also lead in points with 15.5.
· Sydney Hasenfratz and Cayla Cogan each put down nine kills and Hasenfratz also tallied three blocks at the net.
· Amina Robinson led the backcourt with 11 digs.
· Abby Markworth added in 39 assists.
GW now heads back to the DMV, first visiting Fairfax, Va. to complete the series with George Mason on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. before welcoming VCU to the Foggy Bottom for a weekend series.
