WASHINGTON - GW men's basketball alum Brendan Adams will suit up for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the upcoming NBA 2K24 Summer League, held July 7-17 in Las Vegas.
Adams will be on the roster that will compete in four games in Vegas, all on national television. The first contest is set for Friday, July 7 on 4:30 p.m. ET vs. the New Orleans Pelicans on NBA TV. The Wolves will also take on the Utah Jazz (July 10, 10 p.m. ESPNU), Atlanta Hawks (July 12 4 p.m., ESPN2) and Sacramento Kings (July 13, 9:30 p.m., NBA TV) in the round robin event.
A graduate from George Washington with his MBA, Adams was named the A-10 Chris Daniels Most Improved Player this past season after increasing his scoring output by over 9.0 per game to a career-best 17.4 ppg. He shot 47% from the floor, 38% from deep and 84% from the free throw line while playing 37.7 mpg, tied for the most in GW single-season history. He also etched his name in the GW single-season record books for minutes played (1206, t-4th), 3-pointers (74, 7th) and points (556, t-18th).
Adams will aim to join GW alum Yuta Watanabe as an active player in the NBA and become the 11th all-time member of the Buff & Blue to play in the league.
