Daubendiek tallies 10 kills to lead GW offense
WASHINGTON – GW volleyball fell in four sets to Loyola Chicago on Friday night, 23-25, 25-21, 28-26, 25-17.

MC Daubendiek recorded 10 kills and Elizabeth Drelling and Brittany Myers added eight apiece. Grace Allread and Dilara Elmacioglu each contributed to GW's attack, tallying 18 and 16 kills, respectively. Tierra Porter continued to lead GW at the net, registering eight blocks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set one featured nine ties, including a pair at the 22nd and 23rd point, before a kill helped the Ramblers to a 1-0 set advantage. GW put down 10 kills in the opening frame.
After falling behind 5-1 to open set two, GW gained control at 10-9 and never let the Ramblers pull ahead, taking set two behind nine kills and a .208 hitting percentage.
The teams matched each other's offensive tempo in set three, recording match-highs in efficiency and kills, but the Ramblers took the 2-1 set advantage, needing one more set for their first A-10 victory.
Momentum continued for Loyola in set four, with the Ramblers building a cushion at 8-2 and never letting GW gain control to cruise to a 25-17 set four win.
