WASHINGTON – GW volleyball will look to pick up its third-straight win when it visits George Mason for a 6 p.m. matchup on Tuesday. Live coverage will be available on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
GW earned a pair of road wins at Duquesne last weekend. On Friday, GW clinched its fourth five-set victory of the season, outlasting the Dukes, 14-25, 27-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-5. On Saturday, GW made quick work of Duquesne, earning a straight-set victory, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19. Liv Womble tallied 29 kills across the weekend, including a 20-kill performance on Friday to match her career-high. Womble now leads the A-10 with 200 kills this season. Amina Robinson started at libero in both matches, scooping up 46 digs.
POWERFUL PORTER
Tierra Porter has continued to make her presence at the net known, tallying eight blocks this weekend to add to her team-leading total of 94, a mark that also ties for first in the A-10. Porter came alive on the attack this weekend with 19 kills in two matches and leads the GW offense with a .261 hitting percentage.
SCOUTING GEORGE MASONÂ
The Patriots sit at 5-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play after an A-10 opening night win over VCU. Since then, George Mason dropped a 3-1 decision to VCU and suffered a pair of 3-0 losses to Saint Louis. Olyvia Kennedy leads the Patriots with 141 kills this season.
