Maria Pareja scores first goal of the season

WASHINGTON – In its regular season finale on Saturday, the GW women's soccer team played Davidson to a 1-1 draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• 28^th Minute: Davidson's Hailey Braemer scored an unassisted goal to give the Wildcats a 1-0 advantage.
• 78^th Minute: Maria Pareja lifted the ball over the charging Wildcat keeper to knot the game at 1-1.

NOTEWORTHY
-       The draw marks GW's first tie of the season.
-       Pareja scored her first goal of the season.
-       The Buff and Blue outshot Davidson 10-9, but the Wildcats put six shots on goal to GW's three.
-       Sophomore, Isabella Buck, made her first career-start and played a career-high 94 minutes.
-       In net, Tamaki Machi came up with five saves.
