Cruz and Prentice make first career starts
WASHINGTON – The George Washington women's soccer team was held scoreless against Richmond on Sunday and fell to the Spiders, 2-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• 2nd Minute: TJ Anderson gave Richmond the early lead. (UR, 1 GW, 0)
• 71st Minute: Molly Morgan scored for Richmond off a corner kick that slipped inside the opposite post. (UR, 2 GW, 0)
NOTEWORTHY
- The Buff and Blue outshot the Spiders 15-9, putting 10 shots on goal to Richmond's six. Maria Pareja was responsible for four shots on goal and Natalie Silberman and Sammy Neyman recorded two apiece.
- First-years Elizabeth Cruz and Lauren Prentice made their first career starts.
- In net, Tamaki Machi made four saves.

GW will look to avenge its 2-1 loss to VCU last week when the squad visits Richmond, Va. on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
