GW football All-American recounts 1963 March on Washington
As the nation's capital prepares for Friday's Commitment March on Washington to protest police brutality and racial injustice on the 57th anniversary of the original march, NBC-4 highlighted GW trailblazer Norman Neverson, sharing memories of participating in the 1963 event where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous I Have a Dream speech during his time in Foggy Bottom.
A D.C. native, Neverson was the first Black student-athlete to earn an athletic scholarship at GW and went on to have an All-American football career as a linebacker for the Buff and Blue.
