Beyond the Bio: Zak Davis
8/10/2020 10:22:00 AM | Women's Soccer, My GW: Celebrating our Stories
Welcome back to Beyond the Bio, where we'll get to know more about the people behind the scenes at GW Athletics.
Â
In this edition, we learn about Zak Davis, who is entering his third year with the Buff & Blue as an assistant coach on the women's soccer team.
Â
When I'm not working, my favorite thing to do is?
I love sports. I am a huge Boston sports fan, so I am watching all of their teams when I have the chance. But I do look forward to cooking at home if I am going to change it up from the sports background.
Â
If I was an animal, I would be?
I would be a Rhino.
Â
If I could only eat one meal for every meal for the rest of my life, it would be?
Wings, no doubt. Buffalo, old bay, mumbo, you name it. A close second would be jambalaya.
Â
My favorite place I've ever been is?
Florence, Italy!
Â
If I could have coffee with anybody in the world, living or historical, he/she would be?
Not a big coffee drinker actually, so would have to be tea for me, but if it could be anyone, probably, Nelson Mandela.Â
Â
The one job in GW Athletics I'd like to do for a day is?
John Square on gamedays! That's a job, right?
Â
The person I'm most inspired by is?
My Mom and Grandparents.Â
Â
My favorite book, movie, TV show or podcast is?
Book: Catcher in the Rye
Movie: The Dark Knight
TV Show: I know it's not one, but Luther, Sherlock, Ugly Delicious
My top #OnlyAtGWÂ moment was?
Getting to see teams who are playing the Wizards come in our gym and practice. Last year we saw the Spurs.
Â
If I could be granted the gift of elite athleticism, I'd like to be able to?
Basically be Simone Biles.
