Beyond the Bio: Annie Carberry
1/28/2021 2:50:00 PM | My GW: Celebrating our Stories
Welcome back to Beyond the Bio, where we'll get to know more about the people behind the scenes at GW Athletics.
This edition features Annie Carberry, who is in her second year at GW as the student-athlete development graduate assistant. Her responsibilities include supporting community service endeavors across the athletic department and helping to advise GW SAAC.
When I'm not working, my favorite thing to do is?
Lately, it's been snowboarding, but also catching up with friends and family!
If I was an animal, I would be?
An octopus. They are incredibly strong (able to lift 80x their own weight!!) and adaptable.
If I could only eat one meal for every meal for the rest of my life, it would be?
Buffalo chicken pizza
My favorite place I've ever been is?
Outer Banks, N.C. It's so relaxing and peaceful, plus I was able to vacation there with my favorite cousins for the first time in ages.
If I could have coffee with anybody in the world, living or historical, he/she would be?
Eleanor Roosevelt - Talk about a powerful and influential woman.
The one job in GW Athletics I'd like to do for a day is?
Softball coach. As a former softball student-athlete, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic!
The person I'm most inspired by is?
My older brothers. Both possess such a positive outlook on life and are incredibly dedicated in their fields.
My favorite book, movie, TV show or podcast is?
Movie: Ferris Bueller's Day Off
TV Show: The Challenge or Criminal Minds
My top #OnlyAtGW moment was?
Every day walking to the Smith Center and seeing the Lincoln Memorial - Never gets old!
If I could be granted the gift of elite athleticism, I'd like to be able to?
Dunk!
