Welcome back to Beyond the Bio, where we'll get to know more about the people behind the scenes at GW Athletics.
In our third edition, we learn about Nolan Hartzell, who is in his third year as a member of the Buff & Blue. Nolan is an athletic trainer who is responsible for baseball, golf, cheer and dance. Let's take a deeper dive into Nolan's passions, favorite places, and what he loves the most about being a Colonial.
When I'm not working, my favorite thing to do is?
Play soccer

If I was an animal, I would be?
A brown Bear

If I could only eat one meal for every meal for the rest of my life, it would be?
Surf and Turf

My favorite place I've ever been is?
Rocky Mountain National Park, but I really want to explore Banff in Alberta, Canada.

If I could have coffee with anybody in the world, living or historical, he/she would be?
I don't drink coffee, but I'd like to meet Alexander the Great.

The one job in GW Athletics I'd like to do for a day is?
Athletic Training. it may be corny but there isn't another job I would want to do.

Book: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy

My top #OnlyAtGW moment was?
When I accompanied gymnastics last year at NCAA Regionals. They fought hard all year and were able to advance to the second round of the Regional Championship.

If I could be granted the gift of elite athleticism, I'd like to be able to?
Be an elite surfer or free diver
