4/27/2020 9:30:00 AM | General, My GW: Celebrating our Stories
Welcome back to Beyond the Bio, where we'll get to know more about the people behind the scenes at GW Athletics.
In this edition, we learn about Aaron Jones, who is in his first year as a member of the Buff & Blue. Aaron is part of the operations, events and facilities staff. He is responsible for daily facility maintenance, event set-up and tear down, event management and planning. Let's take a deeper dive into Aaron's passions, favorite places, and what he loves the most about being a Colonial.
When I'm not working, my favorite thing to do is?
Attend sporting events as a fan with my family
If I was an animal, I would be?
I would be a wolf. "For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack." ― Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book
If I could only eat one meal for every meal for the rest of my life, it would be?
Chicken wings and fries
My favorite place I've ever been is?
Niagara Falls
If I could have coffee with anybody in the world, living or historical, he/she would be?
I don't drink coffee, but I'd like to meet Bob Iger, executive chairman of The Walt Disney Company.
The one job in GW Athletics I'd like to do for a day is?
Although I enjoy my current job, I would like to step into the shoes of our custodial staff. They are the happiest, energetic, and the most positive on a daily basis. The student-athletes really enjoy getting to know them.
The person I'm most inspired by is?
Outside of my parents and friends, I would say that my former supervisor Shaun Johnson is one of the most successful risk takers I know.
My favorite book, movie, TV show or podcast is?
Book: Life on the Color Line by GW alumnus Gregory H. Williams and The Ride of a Lifetime by Bob Iger
Movie: The Wood
Podcast: 1.Question Leadership
My top #OnlyAtGW moment was?
The gymnastics podium meet. Watching all of the moving parts come together and the collaboration of everyone involved was nothing short of amazing.
If I could be granted the gift of elite athleticism, I'd like to be able to?
I would like to take a couple of snaps behind center in the NFL.
