Colonial of the Week: Women's Soccer's Alexis Williams
10/21/2020 9:56:00 AM | General, Women's Soccer
Name: Alexis Williams
Sport: Women's Soccer
Year: Senior
Major: Political Science and Public Policy
"Alexis is worthy of receiving Colonial of the Week for her commitment and dedication to making positive changes at GW," said head coach Michelle Demko. "Her activism for change has been a huge factor in helping establish the Black Student-Athlete Association at GW this semester. She has worked hard for several semesters bringing this organization to life so that Black athletes have a space that is their own. I am proud of her dedication and persistence to create this legacy that will be at GW for years to come."
My favorite courses I've taken at GW are...
State and Urban Policy Problems and Public Opinion (Both Political Science classes)
After graduation I plan to...
go to graduate school for Health Policy and Management.
A little piece of GW that I've brought home with me this semester is...
continuing our standard of excellence.
I appreciate my teammates because...
even though I'm home this semester, I still feel supported and loved.
This semester I am Raising High by...
tutoring two seventh-grade students in D.C. with the Latino Student Fund. Shoutout to my teammate Bri for telling me about the amazing opportunity!
