Iott leads the way with 33 kills as GW opens conference play 1-0
WASHINGTON -Â The opening night of conference play did not start how GW volleyball planned on Saturday evening at the Smith Center, but it ended with the win of the year thus far in a five-set thriller over George Mason.
The Colonials dropped the first two sets and trailed 18-12 in the third set before roaring back to take the third and the fourth set. To add to the drama, an in-set comeback in the fifth lifted GW to a tremendous triumph over its Revolutionary Rival.
