Iott racks up 22 kills, hits over .300 for second straight match
PITTSBURGH -Â GW volleyball started its first conference road weekend in emphatic fashion, sweeping Duquesne to move to 2-0 in A-10 play for the first time since 2015.

Key Stats
• The Colonials dominated in nearly every facet of the game, holding decided advantages in attack percentage (.248-.108), kills (52-29), assists (47-28), aces (6-2), blocks (8.0-4.0) and digs (57-55).
• Senior Skylar Iott crossed the 20-kill threshold for the second straight match, and third time overall, with 22 kills in 50 swings. Iott hit .320, marking consecutive matches attacking over .300.
• Senior Jaimeson Lee dished out 41 assists, bringing her average in conference play to 11.9 assists per set.
• First-year Addie Feek and graduate student Paty Valle teamed up for five block assists each while sophomore Bella Bowman led the back line with 20 digs.Â

Set 1: GW 25, Duquesne 22
• The Colonials held the early edge in the set, 14-13, before creating separation with a 7-0 run featuring four kills from Iott and a pair from graduate student Caroline Sklaver.
• Senior Jordan Young finished off the set with a kill, one of 18 in the set for the Buff & Blue as the squad hit .212 to open the match.

• GW opened up the set on a tear, grabbing a 14-4 advantage on a kill from Sklaver. The Princeton transfer put an end to a 7-0 Duquesne run with the Colonials up 24-19 with a kill to finish out the set.
• The Colonials added 15 more kills to their ledger, hitting .225 while limiting the Dukes to .027.

• GW earned a comeback win in the third set, trailing 7-3 early on in the stanza before responding with seven of the next nine points to take the lead at 10-9.
• Duquesne closed to within one for a final time at 18-17 before the Colonials finished off the match with a 7-3 spurt.
• The Buff & Blue racked up 19 kills in the set and swung a match-best .317 to finish the match in style.
