Men's Water Polo Dispatches La Salle

Jordan Blosser scored game-high four goals vs. Explorers
SPRINGFIELD, Va. - Jordan Blosser netted a game-high four goals as GW men's water polo cruised past La Salle, 16-7, on Friday night at The St. James to remain unbeaten in Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference play.
The 14th-ranked Colonials (13-3, 4-0 MAWPC) took charge right away vs. the Explorers, scoring the first six goals. Andras Levai's score with 4:55 left in the second quarter stretched the lead to 6-0.
After La Salle edged within four goals, GW opened the half with a 4-1 run to extend its cushion. Blosser scored three of his four goals after the break to help the Colonials pull away.
Levai continued a strong fall with three goals, three assists and two steals, and Chris Lee and Gabriele Simonti also chipped in three goals apiece.
Andrew Mavis, Josh Yardley and Heath Faulkner scored for the Colonials, as well.
GW keeper Matt Taylor held La Salle scoreless for the game's first 11 minutes as part of an 18-save effort.
