The sophomore led men's basketball to a 70-64 win over Howard on Friday

In GW's lone game last week, Terry Nolan Jr. led the Colonials to a win with a masterful performance on both sides of the ball. Tasked with defending Howard's RJ Cole, who came in averaging 20.8 points per game and had a number of NBA scouts in attendance to see him, Nolan stole the spotlight.
In 37 minutes of play, the Baltimore native harassed Cole into a 4-for-19 shooting night, including 0-for-5 from 3-point range, as he was limited to 15 points. That played a big role in GW holding Howard to a season-low 64 points after it came in ranked 11th nationally at 88.0 points per game.
On the offensive side, Nolan contributed 17 points and a team-high nine rebounds to go along with four assists and two steals. He hit four 3-pointers, none bigger than the one with :11 seconds remaining and GW clinging to a three-point lead, which secured a 70-64 victory.
