Feb. 13, 2017 This week's Colonial of the Week Award goes to the thousands of GW Athletics fans that packed the Charles E. Smith Center over the past week to help celebrate Homecoming Weekend and cheer on men's and women's basketball in a trio of crucial Atlantic 10 Conference games.
Your support helped create a #MonumentalHomeCourtAdvantage as the men's team pushed league-leading VCU to the brink before picking up a huge Homecoming win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday. The momentum continued as the women's basketball team snapped Dayton's 11-game win streak with a crucial statement victory on Sunday for its fourth win in a row.
Our #MonumentalHomeCourtAdvantage makes a difference, as over the past four seasons the men's and women's basketball teams are a combined 102-17 (.857) at home!
