KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The George Washington women's soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the eighth consecutive year, the organization announced on Thursday
The NSCAA recognized a total of 577 women's soccer teams across all NCAA divisions with team grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher for the 2015-16 academic year.
The Colonials posted a team grade-point average of 3.54 during the 2015-16 academic year and are one of 12 Atlantic 10 institutions to earn the honor.
Twenty-two members of GW's 2015 squad tallied a GPA of 3.0 or higher in both semesters last academic year. Redshirt junior Miranda Horn landed on the A-10 All-Academic Team in 2015 as women's soccer posted a GW-high 18 members on both the fall 2015 and spring 2016 A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls.
GW was one of eight A-10 member schools and one of 221 institutions nationally with both men's and women's programs honored.
