GW Men's Indoor Track Competes at Maryland Invitational

LANDOVER, Md. - George Washington's men's and women's indoor track teams competed at Saturday's Maryland Invitational at the Prince George Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland.
Freshman Carter Day recorded the men's team's top performance of the day when he finished in sixth place out of 26 competitors in the one-mile run. Day recorded a time of 4:24.22 to lead the Colonials, 10 seconds off the pace of the winner.
Also competing in the one-mile run was freshmen Luke Dublirer and Chris Shaffer. Dublirer finished in 12th place in 4:35.84 while Shaffer followed in 18th place in 4:44.96.
Sophomore Seamus Roddy and freshman Charles Arnold both competed in the 3,000-meter run on Saturday. Roddy finished in 9:17.74 for 12th place out of 23 competitors while Arnold finished in 16th place in 9:29.75.
On the women's side, graduate student Hannah Rowe, the first-ever indoor track competitor for GW's women's indoor track team, finished in second place out of 29 competitors in the 3,000-meter run. Rowe registered a time of 10:12.62.
Both the men's and women's indoor track teams will next compete at the Collegeville Indoor Classic in Ursinus, Pennsylvania, on January 23.
