Sophomore Chidima Osuchukwu was named the Most Valuable Player of the George Washington Invitational after totaling 36 kills, 29 digs, a .342 attack percentage and 14.0 total blocks (five solo, nine assists) to lead the Colonials to a 3-0 weekend to open the 2014 season.

Sophomore Chidima Osuchukwu was named the Most Valuable Player of the George Washington Invitational after totaling 36 kills, 29 digs, a .342 attack percentage and 14.0 total blocks (five solo, nine assists) to lead the Colonials to a 3-0 weekend to open the 2014 season.
Osuchukwu opened her weekend by hitting a torrid .520 with 14 kills against just one error along with five blocks (two solo, three assists) in GW's sweep of Arkansas State on Friday morning.
On Friday evening she swung .316 with nine kills and four blocks (two solo, two assists) as GW swept Auburn in front of a raucous Smith Center crowd before concluding her weekend with 13 kills and five blocks (one solo, four assists) in a 3-0 win against North Dakota on Saturday.
