Kayla Carto won the all-around title to lead the George Washington gymnastics team to a season-opening victory at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational over Cornell, Penn and Temple on Sunday afternoon. The graduate student co-captain scored a 38.425 in the all-around, matching her career high with 9.750 on vault (4th) along with scores of 9.550 on uneven bars (T-7th), 9.400 on balance beam (T-9th) and 9.775 on floor exercise (T-4th) to lead the Colonials to their second consecutive title at their season-opening event.
