MORAGA, Calif. - For the second time since 2005, the George Washington women's soccer team packs up and heads to the West Coast this weekend for a pair of non-conference games with Saint Mary's College and the University of San Francisco.
GW (0-1) first travels to Moraga, Calif., to take on Saint Mary's College (0-0-1) for the first time in program history. The match between the Colonials and the Gaels is slated for Friday at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) at Saint Mary's Stadium.

GW then travels to the City by the Bay on Sunday to take on the University of San Francisco for the first time since 1989. Kick off between the Colonials and Dons (0-1) is set for 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT) at Negoesco Stadium.
GW dropped its season-opener last Friday to No. 23 Georgetown by a 3-0 margin. The Colonials, whose roster boasts 10 new players, put up a fight against their nationally-ranked cross-town rival.
After turning away 15 shots against Georgetown, senior goalkeeper Lindsey Rowe leads the Atlantic 10 Conference in saves per game.
Saint Mary's is coming off of a 1-1 double-overtime tie with New Mexico last Friday. Sara Ives scored the lone goal for the Gaels and Jordan Marada was credited with the assist.
San Francisco dropped its season-opener to UC Davis last week at home by a 2-0 margin. USF travels to Fresno State for a non-conference contest on Friday before returning to host GW on Sunday.
The Colonials return home to host Iowa on Friday, Sept. 2. It will mark GW's first game against a Big Ten opponent in 15 years and will be the first time a Big Ten team visits Mount Vernon Field. The game between the Colonials and the Hawkeyes is set for 4 p.m.
