The top-seeded Men's Tennis team was perfect in their quest to win the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship on April 15-17, winning the first title since 1979. In the finals the squad rolled past Xavier, 4-0, the same score by which they defeated Saint Joseph's and Duquesne earlier in weekend.
The Colonials were dominant in doubles action going 3-0 at the No. 2 and 3 matches. The 2011 team consists of seniors Andy Erikson, Erik Hannah, Christopher Kushma, Yan Levinski, juniors Ugur Atalay and Richard Blumenfeld, sophomore Alexander van Gils and freshmen Viktor Svensson and Ulrik Thomsen. GW is coached by Greg Munoz and he is assisted by Rodrigo Briceno and Mustafa Ulukan.
