- Junior right-handed pitcher Joe Richardson has won his first Colonial of the Week award after throwing 8 1/3 innings out of the bullpen in George Washington's 10-7 win over Rhode Island on Friday afternoon.

Richardson came into relief in the first inning and held the Rams to just two earned runs and struck out nine to earn his seventh win of the season. The Mission Viejo, CA native also didn't walk a batter and didn't allow a hit until his seventh inning of work.

Richardson's stats for the week: one appearance, 8 1/3 innings pitched, two earned runs allowed, zero walks and nine strikeouts.
