In game one of the Colonials Saturday Atlantic 10 double-header against Dayton, Van Kirk hit a scorching line drive over the right center wall for a ground-rule double to drive in two runs on the play to put GW up 5-4 in the third. She also drew two walks in the 7-5 win for the Colonials.
Van Kirk was the only Colonial in game two to get on base twice, drawing two more walks. The four walks in two games gave Van Kirk 33 for her career, which ranks fourth on the GW all-time list.
