Alexander van Gils won all of his matches at No. 1 singles and No.1 doubles at the Navy Gold Invitational on Oct. 8-10. He was a perfect 3-0 in singles, winning in straight sets over his opponents from Georgetown, 6-3, 6-3, and Navy, 7-5, 6-4, and came out on top in three sets over UMBC, 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-7).

Van Gils also was No. 1 flight champion with Christopher Kushma, going 3-0 in the three-day tournament. The duo out-scored their opponents, 32-15, in four sets.
