In the Oct. 16-17 meet against DC rivals, American and Catholic, Franke took first place in three of the 11 events the men's swim team won. He posted top times in the 800-yard individual medley (4:15.65), 200-yard butterfly (1:59.20), and 200-yard individual medley (2:00.62) over the two-day meet.

Franke also posted top 5 times in 500-yard freestyle (5:01.53) and in 200-yard backstroke (2:04.19).
