Syverson scored a total of 20.0 points in GW's two matches last week and was named to the All-tournament team at the Nittany Lion Invitational Saturday.
The junior co-captain from Minneapolis had an errorless hitting match in GW's 3-1 victory over Villanova Friday with 10 kills in 31 swings for a .323 hitting percentage, three service aces and 11 digs for her first double-double of the season. On Saturday against defending national champion and top-ranked Penn State, Syverson had a team-high six kills and three digs for a total of six points. Her six service aces this season leads the team.
