Yaniga was named to the Carolina Classic All-Tournament Team after leading GW with a .562 batting average, seven runs scored and a triple, to go with five runs batted in. The two-sport athlete hit in four straight games, including three multi-hit games, and a pair of three-hit games. In two games against N.C. central, Yaniga went 6-7 (.857), with six runs scored, 5 RBIs, a pair of doubles and a triple. The senior also picked up a pair of hits against East Carolina, the 8th winningest team in college softball history.
Defensively, Yaniga threw out a runner attempting to steal in her first career appearance behind the plate.
