Competing at the Patriot Invitational at George Mason University on Nov. 21-23, GW senior David Zenk won three individual races. He touched first in the 100-yard backstroke (:50.50), the 200-yard backstroke (1:48.44) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:52.46).
It marked the first swim competition this season for Zenk, a two-sport standout who also competes for the GW men's water polo team, after missing the last few weeks with an injured hand.
For his efforts, Zenk was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Performer of the Week for men's swimming for the first time this season and the seventh time in his career.
