Lisa Steele connected on a three-pointer with 1.1 seconds remaining to lift the GW women's basketball team to a 68-66 upset of 18th- ranked Auburn in Auburn, AL, on Jan. 3. Three days later, Steele hit two three-pointers en route to a season-high eight points and added a career-best six rebounds and four steals as the No. 20/19 Colonials rolled over Brown, 98-22.
