Kimberly Beck led the nationally ranked women's basketball team to a come-from-behind 48-45 victory at Rhode Island on Jan. 16. She scored a career-high 25 points, including 23 in the second half, to help GW knock off the Rams on the road. Beck finished 8-of-12 from the floor in the second half and hit a go-ahead floater with 1:24 remaining as the Colonials ran their A-10 winning streak to 18.
The 5-9 point guard added 15 points in a 68-66 loss at Temple on Jan. 19. For the week, Beck averaged 20.0 points on 56.0 percent shooting, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals.
