Gencsoy recorded a pair of wins at the 2007 Wilson/ITA Northeast Regional Tournament, held over the weekend in Princeton, NJ. After a first-round bye, Gencsoy, the fifth-seed, opened play on Saturday with a victory over Brown's Chris Lee, 6-4, 6-3. The next day he got past Jonathan Wong from Colgate, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he fell to Harvard's Dan Nguyen, 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-1. Gencsoy, a three-time A-10 All-Conference selection, improved his record this fall to 10-3 overall.
