Freshman first baseman Tim Reeves contributed significantly to the Colonials' weekend success as the baseball team took two of three games at Richmond in their crucial Atlantic 10 Conference series.
Overall, Tim batted .300 (3-for-10) with a run and two RBI in the three-game match up. Needing to win on Sunday to stay alive in the hunt for a post season birth, Tim brought GW from 3-2 deficit to a 4-3 lead with a two out two-run double in the seventh inning.
Clinging to the one-run lead in the eighth inning, Tim made a spectacular diving catch in foul territory that helped prevent the Spiders from scoring their runner on second base.
GW won the game 4-3 and enters the final weekend of the season with a chance to qualify for the six-team conference tournament.
