William Hubbert joined the GW Volleyball staff in the summer of 2026 as an Assistant Coach and Director of Operations.

Hubbert arrives in Foggy Bottom after one season on staff with American. The AU grad joined the Eagles in July of 2025, helping lead the program to a Patriot League Tournament title, a berth in the NCAA Tournament and a 24-5 overall record. After the program's former Head Coach left for a different opportunity, Hubbert stepped in as AU's Interim Head Coach, leading the program for three months while a nationwide coaching search was underway.

As an undergrad, Hubbert was active on campus, working within the athletic department's equipment office, ensuring all programs were properly equipped and assisting with ordering and inventory needs as well.

Hubbert got his start with AU volleyball as a practice player, assisting during the 2023 and 2024 seasons to help elevate the program. His background in coaching started a year earlier, serving as an assistant varsity coach for nearby Sidwell Friends from 2022-23.

Hubbert graduated from AU in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
