Vincent Cagliostro

Vincent Cagliostro joined GW in March 2026 as the Director of Strength and Conditioning and is currently responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the GW Strength and Conditioning department. Cagliostro came from Stony Brook University where he was the Director of Athletic Performance and oversaw Men’s Basketball.
During Cagliostro's time at Stony Brook, he worked with Football, Men’s Lacrosse, Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Soccer and Volleyball over a nine-year span. Cagliostro was also in charge of overseeing the growth of the sports science program at Stony Brook. Overall, he has 16 years of experience including 12 years at the Division 1 level.
Over the span of Cagliostro's 16 years coaching, he has worked with the Chicago Bears and Rutgers University. During his time at Rutgers, Cagliostro worked with Wrestling, Volleyball, and Tennis. Over his three-year span with Rutgers Wrestling they had 19 NCAA qualifiers, four All-Americans, a Big 10 Champion at 141 lbs. and ranked 10th in the country during the 2015-16 season. Over the year, Cagliostro has presented on building and integrating sport science program in sport at conferences.
A graduate of Springfield College in Massachusetts with a Master's Degree in Applied Exercise Science/Strength and Conditioning and an undergraduate degree in exercise science from Springfield College, Cagliostro is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA as well as USA-W level 1.
