Savannah Mohazzabfar joined GW in January 2026 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and is currently responsible for Men’s Soccer. Mohazzabfar came to GW from Florida Atlantic University where she provided comprehensive medical care for multiple Division I programs. She started with the Owls’ Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams in 2024 and later with the Women’s Volleyball program in 2025.
Prior to FAU, Mohazzabfar served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Bellevue Christian School in Washington. As the school’s sole athletic trainer, she developed and managed all operations of the athletic training facility. During her tenure, she established a physician referral partnership with Proliance Orthopedics and implemented concussion management protocols, emergency action plans, a student sports medicine program, and strength and conditioning initiatives.
A graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Whitworth University with a Master’s in Athletic Training, Mohazzabfar is a licensed and board-certified Athletic Trainer and holds certifications in Applied Functional Science, Dry Needling 1 and 2, Suture and IV Therapy, Graston M1, First Aid/CPR/AED, and US Center for SafeSport.
