Ainscough comes to GW after spending three seasons as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at NCAA D II Regis University in Denver, where he played a key role in the program’s most successful stretch in a decade. In a short time, Ainscough helped take Eckerd from 2-12-1 to above .500, achieving Eckerd's best season in seven years. Prior to Eckerd, Ainscough spent two seasons at NCAA DII Rollins College, where he oversaw recruiting and contributed to a top 25 nationally ranked program.
Ainscough played his first season of college soccer at the University of Buffalo, making 12 starts for the Bulls before transferring to Eckerd for the remainder of his college career. He accumulated 30 points in 36 career starts at Eckerd, where he served as team captain twice and earned team MVP twice.Â
Ainscough then turned pro, returning to Europe to play in 5 different countries.Â
